June 1st, 1955 > me & my mother (she’s now 92+1,5) > at 1 point in life we have to make peace with our past, come to terms with it, and be grateful our Soul chose this place to blossom & flourish > each of our moments here is an opportunity for a rebirth, to become the “I” we are meant to be, so it’s a deep & grateful Thank You Mother 🙂

Ana

She walks on rainbows, reaches out
beyond a million stars, and up and
down she goes upon the waves the sun
so gently pours and pours again over
the oceans and the seas, she sees, and
yet, yet deeper still, silently hidden in
her secret room nobody knows about
but she, there, in the precious chamber
of her Soul, there is this longing,
the longing for the Love as promised,
as given when she came to Be, so Ana
then, she is the only keeper of her
golden key, the key that will unlock
the gates of Paradise and only then
will Ana Be, become the Angel she
is meant to Be.

(written for and read to Ana, the bookshop girl, on the way back from Santiago De Compostella > Spain, prov Santander, Torrelavega)

At Anna’s, I bought a Spanish-English dictionary, and I told her about my love of ‘coincidences’, she wrote in the book: “On February 28th 2009 I begin to believe in the coincidences”.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help

“Our Lady of Perpetual Help”, an anonymous 15th century Byzantine icon, handmade reproduction on a piece of driftwood (25x17cm) found at the beach. It was warm heartedly given to me & made by Dora, our school secretary. The original one has quite a remarkable & interesting story, which you can read on Wikipedia

Here’s a poem I wrote, on my return of Medjugorje, Bosnia & Herzegovina, july 2002, inspired by Our Lady:

LOST AND FOUND

As I am walking in this world of words
sometimes I keep forgetting how once
– inspired- I was returning home when
suddenly You spoke and down the hill
You came in shining white, Your music
as from heaven sent was all around,
and how it told me to have patience,
O I remember how my heart was filled
with joy, I hardly couldn’t wait and now,
while looking in Your eyes I feel a touch
of paradise, I finally have found an answer
beyond words.

ps: here a picture explaining the symbols on the icon:

To Have And To Hold

Shall I hold you or shall I set you free?
Your voice came to me from afar,
the sun was setting, and there was a smile

Shall I hold you or shall I set you free?
What is the home of this one leaf?
Where is the tree it once belonged to?

Shall I hold you or shall I set you free?
What purpose has the wave
that springs from ocean deep?
Is it aware of beaches far away
where it will rest its wing?

Shall I hold you or shall I set you free?
What happens with the cloud
that now is dancing with the sun?
Shall it not once return
and rest next to that wave
in ocean deep?

Shall I hold you,
O, shall I hold you or shall I set you free?
Your voice came to me from afar,
the sun was setting and there was a smile
and then a word:
there is no holding nor is there setting free,
because in oceans deep a Love is stirring all,
it sets out endlessly,
and it inspires the hand
that is now touching you,
O, then I shall hold you and so set you free.

Beware

Marilyn speaks:

“Be welcome but beware, there is some
hidden malware in the air, like as
the smell of unknown flowers, easily
to be attracted to, mysterious in their
uncovered nakedness, the closer to
the dawn, the deeper darkness sings,
the more this tune is penetrating,
the more shall be the suffocating,
beware, beware, and when the call
is near remember:  be welcome but
be still, be as a newly born, grown in
the warmth of paradise, nourish your
hunger as a mother, not as a bee, be
welcome but beware, there is only
one song to share, and if in any doubt
whether to follow or step out, return,
escape, escape, before the door behind
is closing, and choose for the familiar
smell, the doubtless one, the only one
which purpose is to make you breathe,
and be is as you were meant to be.”
