Crossroads

Wherever I may roam in the kingdom
of my mind, wherever I keep looking for
some music resonating, wherever on
my way I meet the crossroads yet again,
in doubt of paths to choose, it is you I
turn to, and silence then is overwhelming,
still I am carried, and to my wings your
breath is life supporting, even  in deepest
darkness your lighthouse penetrates and
should it be the sun revoked its rays,
or oceans’ waves were nevermore to
kiss the sandy beach, I know a harbour
there, beyond all words there is your
kingdom, beyond my dreams there is
your answer: wherever you may roam
be welcome here.

The Way Of Things

It is not much I know about the way of things,
from time to time I could appreciate a sunset
though, or Love and even falling leaves could
with their dance inspire me to a word or two:
lessons learned, notes played, work done, eyes
closed, roads travelled, questions answered
lovers lost, I must confess I welcomed all, but
in the end you see, there is not much I know
about the way of things, and then, when evening
comes, daybreak a life away, when no more sleep is
left to shelter all my dreams, and time too short for
yet another masterpiece, I wonder whether you will
still be here to comfort me, you who claimed
to know much more about the way of things.

Womb

(Wrote this in a period I can describe as my “Dark Night Of The Soul” (cfr St John of the Cross) > in deep despair I felt as if there was some invisible Force, “an unseen hand that pushed me back” to life > since then I know that wherever Life’s journey takes you, in whathever abyss you might find yourself, you have to trust & belief (100%!) that there always is “an unseen hand” upon which you can rely for support, even in the eye of death… Believe our Souls, all Souls are breathing in this “Womb Of Being”.  Ave + 🙂

Enclosed I roam from star to star,
I travel endlessly, I whisper and
my breath unfolds behind me as
a vale, a shooting star, a comet
on its way and growing, growing
with each light-year passing by,
O yes, there is much pleasure in this
roaming , it is creation of a Master
Plan and still this roaming is
continuing, and when from time
to time I reach the boundaries of
my confinement, I feel a sudden
shiver, as if some unseen hand is
there to push me back, or could it
be the vale behind that keeps on
coming back, I wonder. So here I
am, inside and out, no matter
how the journey goes, there always
will be worlds to enter and others
then to leave behind, the roaming
will continue , on and on, no
ending, no beginning, so is the
roaming in the Womb of Being,
the cavern of A Master’s Plan.

Bird As A Prophet

(picture taken through my van’s  windshield @ Cap Gris Nez, France)

O little bird how graciously you sing,
while night is darkening your wings,
you are the Herald of the morning,
my hands are open for your offering,
there is my Heart, O little bird, your
soft whisper, your silent touch, I can’t
ignore, O, little bird, you Prophet
of the Dawn to come, my hands are
opening for your offering, my ears are
singing, all in tune, O little bird, my eyes
are closed in darkness, I keep wandering
into the night, breathing in, breathing out,
I offer you my heart, I welcome you into
my Soul, O little bird, how graciously you
sing, while night is darkening your wing.

MEMORARE

O piissima Virgo Maria,
non esse auditum a saeculo,
quemquam ad tua currentem praesidia,
tua implorantem auxilia, aut tua petentem suffragia
a te esse derelictum.
Ego tali animatus fiducia,
ad te Virgo virginum Maria
Mater Iesu Christi, confugio,
ad te venio, ad te curro,
noli, Domina mundi, noli aeterni Verbi Mater verba mea despicere,
sed audi propitia et exaudi me miserum ad te in hac lacrimarum valle clamantem.
Adsis mihi, obsecro, in omnibus necessitatibus meis, nunc et semper,
et maxime in hora mortis meae.
O clemens, o pia, o dulcis Virgo Maria!
Amen

REMEMBER

O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thy intercession
was left unaided by thee.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly to thee,
Mary, Virgin of virgins, Mother of Jesus Christ;
to thee do I come; before thee I stand,
O Mistress of the World and Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer wretched me crying
to thee in this vale of tears.
Be near me, I beseech thee, in all my necessities, now and always,
and especially at the hour of my death.
O clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary.
Amen

(15th century prayer, made popular by Fr. Claude Bernard, the Poor Priest )
